| Barclay
Library strives to provide the newest titles and best
sellers on the market, as well as a well-developed
reference collection to meet its patrons' needs for
information. A weekly "Coffee Club" meets on
Wednesday morning, offering a place to meet and chat with
your neighbors. Barclay Book Bunch, a book discussion
group meets monthly at noon on the 1st Wednesday of the
month. The selection for March 7 is The Gazebo by
Emily Grayson. The Visiting Nurse Association
provides a FREE Health Screening on the 2nd Friday of
each month from 9:00 to 11:00. Blood pressure, blood
sugar and cholesterol levels are among the screenings
offered. ! .

Friends of Barclay Library sponsors additional programs
throughout the year for adults and families. Be sure to
check back often for new information. |

DID YOU KNOW??!! - The
Library has subscriptions to Morningstar Mutual Funds,
and Value Line investment guides. These are
located in the Reference section of the library. A
grant from the Illinois State Library provided
equipment and software to aid seniors (and others) who
may have difficulty reading printed materials. Equipment
provided by this grant includes a variety of hand-held
magnifiers (some may even be checked out) and
computer software that magnifies or speaks the text as it
appears on the screen. Please as at the Checkout Desk for
a demonstration of these programs.
