Standing and Ad Hoc Committees are
appointed by the HSAC chair and committee chairs and drawn from member
agency or organization representatives, individual members, and/or the
community at large. Most committees select their own chairs establish
regular meeting dates and agendas. Standing Committees: Board of
Directors
Executive Committee: Consists of the officers of HSAC and the immediate past chair and acts as the agent for the board between board meetings. Nominating Committee: Submits at the June board meeting for election at the August Annual Recognition Banquet a slate of officers who are persons of diverse experience representative of the member agencies. Recognition Committee: Plans the annual meeting and selects agencies and/or individuals who have made creative and outstanding contributions in human services for recognition awards that are presented at the annual meeting held in August. Documents Committee: Annually reviews HSAC by-laws, policies and procedures and recommends appropriate changes to the membership or the board. Contact: Membership Committee: Seeks out and encourages agencies and
organizations with programs related to human services in Decatur and Macon
County to become members of HSAC. Finance Committee: Chaired by the treasurer, reviews all fiscal records of HSAC and presents an annual budget to the board.
Contact: Professional Development Committee: Researches and recommends programs for leadership development and inclusiveness, such as, workshops, seminars, speakers and training events for professional development enhancement.

Grants Committee: Researches and informs the membership about possible grants and other resources related to human service agencies.
